Separate presidential decrees signed
yesterday by head of state ,Paul Biya has appointed some new senior divisional
officers, SDOs, and divisional officers, DOs in divisions and sub-divisions
across the country . Another presidential decree signed same day equally
catapulted Mbouda divisional officer, Awounfac Alienou Yves Bertrand to the
post of Secretary General at the centre regional governor’s office, replacing
Oumarou Haman Wabi who has been called up for other duties .
Yesterday’s appointment which was
first made public during CRTV’s 5pm
prime time news came on the heels of widespread speculations related to the
imminent replacement of some SDOs and DOs across the country said to be ripe
for retirement. However, it was less so yesterday as most of the civil
administrators tipped for retirement were still maintained while some were
simply transferred.
Fako SDO, Zang III, his colleague of Meme division, Koulbot Aman as
well as Kupe Muanenguba SDO , Handerson Quetong Kongue, had been speculated as
administrators in the South West region who were due retirement. Yet none of
them were touched in the recent appointments. It was same fate that befell
their colleagues in the North West region. Here, the likes of Bita Benoit Emvoutou
Williams, Menchum SDO, Donga Mantung SDO, Mesape Bernard and Bui SDO, Nzeke
Théophile were all provocatively maintained.
Meantime, those newly appointed as
SDOs include, Gall Charles as Mayo Banyo
SDO in the Adamawa, Djickdent Emmanuel for Mefou and Afamba and Mboutou
Benjamin for Nyong et So’o all in the centre region. In the Far North, Ebelle
Ernest Samuel Christian was appointed SDO for the Diamare meanwhile in the
North west; Songa Pierre Rene was appointed Mezam SDO. The civil administrator
replaces Felix Nguele Nguele who was last year appointed Governor. In Bamboutos
in the West region, Ewango Budu Ernest was appointed SDO while Oumarou Haman
Wabi was sent to the Nde division.
In another presidential decree
signed yesterday, copy of which The Guardian Post stumbled on, the following
personalities were appointed Divisional officers: Bissa Fabrice Yves for Tabita
in the Adamawa, Bouhari Mohamadou for
Ebebda ,Dym Nestor for Mbankomo and Abena Richard for Nguibassal all in the
centre region.
In the East region Nwafua Lawrence
Forwang was appointed DO for Moloundou, Mbok Simon for Messok meanwhile Mahamat
Nour was appointed in Vele in the Far North region. Still in the same
region, Asse Julien Martial was
appointed in Mayo Moskota with Koulogna Ibrahim posted to Mogode.
Great job but for the spelling error.
